Sweet Job: Outreach and Programs Manager for Global Citizen

Global Citizen, based in Philadelphia, works to promote community volunteering and sustained civic engagement among diverse groups, particularly young people.
In this position, you’d manage a portfolio of initiatives and programs. You’d also handle all Global Citizen online communications, including our websites, e-newsletter and social media platforms.
“Our small team does big things,” Vice President & Director of Operations Victoria Ford wrote to Brazen. “We coordinate the Greater Philadelphia MLK Day of Service — last year we had over 100,000 volunteers! The person in this role will coordinate our Signature Site, with over 4,000 volunteers. We also coordinate other community service and civic engagement events year-round; in the past year we’ve hosted both Vice President Joe Biden and Nobel Peace Prize winner Leymah Gbowee.”
To qualify, you should have 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit or community-based programming — or simply be able to show that you’ll perform as though you have that experience.
