Kudos to you for suggesting a fresh grad consider other paths to their ultimate career goal. Sometimes people are too focused on one path and that damages their job search. My personal favorite is #2. Calling a company will also give a job candidate the opportunity to secure an internal contact name and possibly direct email address or phone number. Can you say follow up?
