After that I’m just doing the editing and updating myself.

But disagree that a “minimum level of quality may be all you need”, and that professionally written resumes make no difference. While it might not, depending upon the competition, it can certainly put you at a disadvantage against other folks who had their resumes critiqued and written by a trained set of HR eyes who know precisely how to pick up on even the smallest red flags you’re likely to miss if you don’t know what to look for. Good info in both cases!
