Find a Job - Business People in Maze

Finding a new job can be a challenge, especially in this weak economy.

So what do you do? Wait it out by enrolling in a grad program?

No. You’re not convinced that more school is a good deal or that it will get you any closer to your goals. So why not look for a job in one of these areas? The hiring outlook for these industries has been strong this year and you don’t need an advanced degree to get any of these jobs.

Take a look:

This is very interesting to see what careers are trending right now! I wonder if massage therapist is ranked high because people are more stressed out about their jobs these days and are needing more massages! :)

Ha! Good theory on massage therapists!

Finding a hot and good job is more and more difficult now a day’s. most of the common thing when you apply for a job the employer give importance the experience rather than qualification.

I’m not surprised to see massage therapy up there. It’s a really lucrative career that doesn’t require much schooling. Though, I’m glad that Interpreter/Translator is up there – give me more incentive to work on my French skills now that I’m not in school anymore. This is really awesome – I love infographics.

Thanks Tatiana! Very cool that you know some French. It’s top of my list for languages I would like to learn.

I love such things…particularly when they are not correct! Message therapy is not a sure fire career. It is a tough road to finding and RETAINING clients, whom themselves are sensitive to the economy. I know several people in this path that are having a very hard time of it.

Mediator! Ha….if you do not also have a JD (Law Degree) you will have a very tough time finding compensated work. If you do, it will likely be in the not for profit sector, and it will be at a very low rate of compensation. I’ve been a Mediator for more than twenty years, cited for the high quality of my work by the BBB, The State of Connecticut Consumer Protection Department and the Judicial Department…I would love to be a full time mediator….but in 20 years I’ve not been able to find many or secure any of those positions.

PR….well that is another story being incorrectly told.

When are sites going to start checking their facts. The net is just making journalist even more careless about their “facts”.

Check out the mediation channel blog

    Good luck to all.

As always, love the infographic, Brazen! Keep ‘em coming! I know a lot of people who are in the massage therapy and personal training fields, and I think it’s important to remember how much these two can vary, in terms of the amount of business and money you make. For example, one of my trainer friends earns well above the average you guys have listed; but another is struggling just to secure clients! If any of you readers out there do attempt the trainer or massage lifestyle, it’s important not to think of these as “hobbies” or “side jobs.” If you’re going to take either one of these on as a career, be prepared to devote a lot of time and energy– especially in the beginning when you’re securing clients! Anyway, thanks again for the infographic. I love these things!
