People will get different benefits for different reasons. Some people go for the networking opportunities (current classmates and/or alumni network), and it may or may not work out. Others go for the chance to get promotions at their current workplace. Others go for specialized opportunities (such as banking or consulting). Still others go to get some business acumen to start their own business.

All in all I would simply say go to the school with a good reputation, and with the least expense, it doesn’t have to be top 10 or Ivy League, as it won’t matter in the end for 95% of the jobs out there on your resume (though by all means if you really want that 80 hour a week banking or consulting job head to an Ivy League). All employers are looking for is that you have that business knowledge aspect (accounting, finance, it perspective, strategy, management perspective), to help their business out from a financial/managerial standpoint and that you know the language and outlook of management (hard and soft skills). They want you to be proficient in business.
