I feel like I am reading something in a fairytale. Doe these companies really exist and if so, why aren't they publicized. I am a mature worker and have worked in corporate, small family owned businesses and non-profits, and have never had the pleasure of working for a company that gave a care about their employees. I have even questioned whether contract law should come into play, because when an employee signs on, they have no say in anything. For the average pee-on, the rules are established by the employer, you take it or leave it . . . . and you are basically a puppet on a string until you can't take the nonsense anymore. I have worked for verbally abusive bosses and in very passive-aggressive environments. I would be forever grateful if someone every treated me (or any employee I have worked with) with dignity and respect. Pass on that list of companies because I am out of work right now and would love to work for a great company that valued my opinion. I am ready!

This is a good point. I think there are definitely times when you need to decide as an employee if "turnover rate" is the right metric to be looking at. There's definitely jobs you can take that are a great catalyst for other jobs. Also, like you mentioned, turnover rate doesn't mean people are leaving because they are unhappy, rather they are using Google as one of those catalysts for going after the career they want. Love the insight here!

Love that this is on your radar and you're actively making your company a great place to work!
