Every Wednesday, I profile a new member of the Brazen Community of bloggers. This week I’ve chosen to profile LaTosha Johnson. LaTosha’s blog is TargetStars. Enjoy!
In contrary to last week’s Featured Brazen Blogger, my profile this week is of someone who I really didn’t know that much about. But of course, I wanted to.
LaTosha has only been a member of the Brazen Community for a couple weeks and already I can see that she’s making an impression on our most active in the community. She’s always leaving insightful comments on people’s posts and even writes some insightful posts of her own.
If you’re looking for a motivating blogger to connect with, look no further. LaTosha is your go-to girl.
Thanks LaTosha, for letting me profile you this week. And to everyone else, enjoy!
When people ask you what your blog is about, what do you tell them?
I tell people that my blog is mainly dedicated to sharing information that will benefit small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. However, I do like to vent from time to time about injustices that I see or hear about (i.e. current economic situation, corporate morale, etc.) from my colleagues or from the news.
It’s important to have a goal when you blog, what is yours?
My goal is to share as much information as I can to empower people. I want to give people the tools and hopefully get them thinking about finally taking the plunge to start their own business. I know what it is like to be stuck in a dead end job, but instead of complaining about it I chose to start my own business. Even if entrepreneurship is not in the cards for you, there are so many people who are unhappy because they do not know what they want to do in life. I want to help people follow their dreams and not allow themselves to be confined to their current circumstances.
So many people do not take action because they are unsure how to proceed because they do not have the motivation or information they need. My goal is to simultaneously provide information and give that extra “push” we all need to get on the right road to accomplishing our goals.
What types of people do you hope to connect with through your blog?
I hope to connect with people that are tired of our current situation (i.e. corporate greed, underappreciated employees, etc.) and want to be apart of the solution.
Who brought you to blogging?
I know this is going to sound weird, but the current state of our economy. I love to write and have always kept journals, but when I kept hearing about small business owners struggling to stay afloat I wanted to share information that could help them effectively promote their products. However, I felt compelled to not just share information to help businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs, but to voice my opinion against injustices that I see or hear about in the news (i.e. people being mistreated, Wall Street, etc.).
Do you currently subscribe to any other bloggers in the Brazen Community?
Yes, I do subscribe to other bloggers within the Brazen Community. There are so many great blogs and I try to read as much as I can but the four I find myself consistently drawn to are the following:
- Intersected by Jamie Varon
- Naked Generations by Heledd Straker
- Politicoholic by Nisha Chittal
- Life Is Like a Box of Chocolates by Samantha Karol
Are there any bloggers out there that you look to for advice?
No, I write what I feel.
What’s your blogging routine?
I honestly don’t have a routine. I always make sure I carry a notebook with me at all times because my ideas for my posts often come to me when I’m working on something else. When I am writing my posts I must have music because it helps me organize my thoughts.
If your blog had a soundtrack what would it be?
If you could change something about the blogosphere, what would it be?
Some people use their blogs to demean other people and I do not like those who practice this type of behavior. I feel blogs should be used to share information that helps and empowers people to take action.
